When I first decided to make an astrophotography website I did so with the primary goal of helping others. As a beginner I found the steep learning curve genuinely frustrating, daunting and difficult, something I wanted others to have an easier time with.
Until now I’ve focused on writing a number of blog posts about how to set up and use astrophotography equipment. I’ve now decided to try out a number of video tutorials on YouTube in the hope that pictures (or videos) really are worth a thousand words.
I’m not decided on the content for the series of videos yet, the first focuses on image processing using PixInsight, but later videos may be on other topics or even revisiting topics I’ve previously written blog posts about. If you have requests or thoughts on it, please post comments on the videos; I’d love to get your input and feedback to help shape the channel to be as useful as possible.
With all that said, here’s the first of hopefully many videos on the new channel. As mentioned earlier it covers my simplified PixInsight image processing workflow for nebulae. I hope you find it helpful and useful.
